A sculpture of an angel by artist Jack Mealy commissioned by socialite and philanthropist
Pat Montandon when she lived at this address in a home she dubbed the "enchanted cottage". The sculpture entitled "Angel of Hope", is carved out of the trunk of a large Monterrey Cypress at the edge of the driveway . The tree had to come down after a 1997 windstorm at which time Ms Montandon decided to have the carving done. At the time she was in the process of writing a book about angels, which explains the reference.
